I was recently in Maine with family and stumbled upon a store with Celtic knotwork jewelry and artwork.
I am hoping to reproduce some of these designs.
I also note that some of the artwork has the same ‘problems’ that I observe when trying to draw Celtic knots myself, and some of the mediums seem to offer different challenges. The wood engraving seems to have inconsistent strand gaps: the strip of background color on either side of a strand that overlaps another strand. There are also some inconsistencies where strands are overlapped: the two ‘connecting’ sections of the strand do not line up. One of the “money clip” pieces also has significant variation in strand thickness.
